currently accept Aetna and Cigna insurance.
If you have a different provider, I’m considered out-of-network, but I can provide a superbill (basically a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. If you’re paying out of pocket, my rate is $200 for a 50-minute session or $300 for a 90-minute extended EMDR session.

Most sessions are 50 minutes long. For EMDR reprocessing, I also offer 90-minute sessions to give us more space to go deeper without feeling rushed. As we get to know each other, I typically recommend starting with weekly sessions for the first 6 weeks. This helps us build momentum and gives you a strong foundation. If you later decide that biweekly sessions feel like a better fit, we can absolutely adjust based on your needs.

Yep! All of my sessions are virtual and available to anyone living in California. Whether you're curled up on the couch, hiding in your parked car for some peace and quiet, or squeezing in a session during your lunch break—I’ve got you. Sessions happen on a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal to make sure your privacy is always protected (no Zoom links floating around here). My clients love the flexibility and ease of showing up just as they are—no commute, no waiting room, and yes, pajama bottoms are totally acceptable.

That’s such a great (and personal!) question. Finding the right therapist is kind of like finding a good friend or partner—it really comes down to connection and comfort. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s totally okay. My feelings won’t be hurt if it doesn’t feel like the right fit. Ask all the questions you need, trust your gut, and know that you deserve to work with someone who really gets you.
My style is grounded in unconditional positive regard—I'm here to hold space for you without judgment. But I also keep it real. I’ll reflect back what I hear isn’t working and help you figure out what’s getting in your way. Clients have told me they appreciate that I’m authentic, solution-oriented, and open-minded. If that sounds like something you’re looking for, we might be a good match.

Yes, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who are navigating financial challenges. These spots are often full, but you’re always welcome to ask—I’m happy to place you on a waitlist if needed.
If you're offered a sliding scale rate, we’ll revisit it after 6 months to check in and see if your circumstances have shifted. This helps keep therapy accessible and makes room for others who may need financial flexibility, too.

I work with adults ages 18 and up. Despite the “MFT” in my title, I don’t specialize in couples or family therapy (I know, kind of ironic, right?). But I am always open to collaborating with your partner or family members if it feels helpful as part of your individual work.
You mentioned EMDR—what the heck is that?
Totally fair question! EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing—but don’t let the long name scare you. It’s a powerful therapy that helps your brain heal from tough experiences, trauma, or negative beliefs that just won’t let go.
Here’s the cool part: I give your brain this amazing tool (through eye movements or sounds using a secure platform called Bilateral Base), and then we both kind of sit back and let your brain do the work. Seriously. EMDR helps your brain file away those painful memories so they stop feeling overwhelming or stuck. You’re fully present the whole time—no hypnosis, no weird mind tricks—just your brain doing what it’s naturally built to do: heal.
I was trained in EMDR in 2022 after experiencing it firsthand—and honestly, it changed my life. Reprocessing my own trauma through EMDR brought a kind of relief and healing I hadn’t found anywhere else. After that, I knew I had to offer it to my clients. It’s not just a tool I use—it’s something I believe in deeply because I’ve seen how powerful it can be, both personally and professionally.
And yes, we can do all of this virtually. It’s effective, secure, and kind of magical in a science-backed way.
